Grief. It’s an emotion all of us have experienced at one time or another. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, an unfilled desire or dream, or any number of other disappointments, grief is a reality in life.
However, if you are a Believer, you know that there is hope in God. While we may experience grief we have the hope that we don’t have to stay in a place of grief.
Now, I know there are some situations that take a long time to work through and get past. If you are struggling, there are wonderful counselors out there that can help guide you through the process of grief. I encourage you to seek help if you’ve been caught in a cycle of grief for a long time. You don’t want grief to overtake your life.
Because I firmly believe that God offers us hope in our times of grief, I wanted to put together a Scripture Writing Plan that will lead us to verses in the Bible that we can cling to when we are feeling grieved. As I put together this plan, I realized there was so much wisdom and insight on this topic in the books of Psalms and Romans. You will discover great hope and joy as you work through the plan this month.
It’s my prayer that if you are in a season of grief that you will find hope in these verses. If you’re not currently in a season of grief, I pray you’ll be able to recall some of these verses when grief strikes again. We all go through multiple seasons of grief in our lifetimes. So It is important that we arm ourselves with scriptures that will help us when we experience grief.
