November marks the beginning of the holiday season which is often filled with extra tasks and responsibilities. I don’t know about you, but I often feel overwhelmed during this time. There are special meals to prepare, gifts to buy, and gatherings to host or attend.
While all of this can be a lot of fun and very meaningful, often this time of year brings added stress to my life.
Can you relate?
The last thing on my mind is to think about giving thanks. I mean, who has time to do that with so much else going on? 🙂
The reality is, though, we need to make the time to stop and give thanks for all God has done for us. Not just during this season of Thanksgiving but all throughout the year as well.
This month our Scripture Writing Plan focuses on giving thanks. I’ve put together several scriptures that will help guide you to give thanks.
If you’ve never done one of these plans before, it’s really quite simple. Let me walk you through the process:
- Find a notebook or journal to write in (no need to get fancy)
- Gather your Bible or use a Bible app on your phone
- Spend 10-15 minutes writing out the scriptures and soaking in what you’ve written.
That’s it! It’s really that simple to write out scriptures and get the benefit of hearing from the Lord and drawing closer to Him.
